Hexham Farmers Market takes place every second and fourth Saturday of each month. It is open from 9am until 1.30pm and takes place within Hexham Market Place, in the shadow of Hexham Abbey. Hexham Farmers Market boasts a fine array of stall-holders selling local produce from local producers.With no no middlemen  just good farmers and local producers it is the perfect place to pick up the finest local produce at affordable prices.

Hexham Abbey

There has been a church on the Hexham Abbey site for over 1300 years. It forms the centrepiece of the town and the stunning attraction is a must for visitors.

The current Hexham Abbey dates from 1170–1250. The east end was rebuilt in 1860. The Hexham Abbey nave was reconsecrated on 1908 and in 1996 an additional chapel was to Hexham Abbey.

Hexham Abbey also currently boasts a number of choirs.
